Vice President of Development & Public Relations

New Hope, Inc. is seeking a Vice President of Development and Public Relations to serve as a member of the Senior Management Team and to direct the agency’s development, public relations and marketing to the 54 cities/towns served.  The VP of Development and Public Relations is responsible for all development, fundraising and public relations activities, including designing and implementing a comprehensive plan that includes event planning, fundraising, grant writing, annual member appeal, creating marketing pieces, web design, individual giving, corporate and foundation funding.

Candidate should have demonstrated success identifying, cultivating and soliciting major gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations; directing public relations and marketing campaigns; and event planning.  Grant writing responsibilities include researching funding sources, including foundations, corporations, and individuals.  Experience with Raiser’s Edge is required.

Interested candidates should have previous experience in non-profit development, marketing and/or public relations, along with a demonstrated track record of successful fundraising results.  Management experience along with excellent presentation skills, written and verbal are required. Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree preferred.

Vice President of Operations

New Hope Inc. is seeking a Vice-President of Operations to serve as a member of the Senior Management Team.  The VP of Operations is responsible for the overall administrative operations and supervisory duties related to domestic and sexual assault programs including: sexual assault services, domestic violence residential services, community-based counseling services, civilian and SAFEPLAN advocates, Supervised Visitation, Batterer’s Intervention and Transitional Living program.  The VP of Operations ensures compliance with regulatory and agency standards, quality assurance, statistical data collection and appropriate reporting, as required.  The position also includes fiscal oversight, and supervisory responsibilities for all program directors/managers/coordinators.

Candidates are required to have experience in supervisory/administrative capacity, particularly in the domestic and/or sexual violence field, experience in building diverse teams and effective communication skills.  Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s Degree, LICSW or other licensed mental health provider is preferred.

Job Purpose: Enhances financial advisor’s effectiveness by providing support, client service

Job Duties:

  • Maintain appointment schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel.
  • Welcomes clients by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or directing inquiries.
  • Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Completes projects on deadline, following up on any pending information in order to complete longer-range projects.
  • Prepares reports by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Provides historical reference by developing and utilizing filing and retrieval systems;.
  • Maintains office supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; evaluating new office products; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Skills/Qualifications: Highly detailed with strong organizational skills. Strong computer skills including internet research. Administrative Writing Skills, Reporting Skills, Supply Management, Scheduling, Microsoft Office Skills with specific proficiency in Word and Excel, Organization, Time Management, Verbal Communication and excellent interpersonal skills
