Shelter Manager

Vice President of Operations

New Hope Inc. is seeking a Vice-President of Operations to serve as a member of the Senior Management Team.  The VP of Operations is responsible for the overall administrative operations and supervisory duties related to domestic and sexual assault programs including: sexual assault services, domestic violence residential services, community-based counseling services, civilian and SAFEPLAN advocates, Supervised Visitation, Batterer’s Intervention and Transitional Living program.  The VP of Operations ensures compliance with regulatory and agency standards, quality assurance, statistical data collection and appropriate reporting, as required.  The position also includes fiscal oversight, and supervisory responsibilities for all program directors/managers/coordinators.

Candidates are required to have experience in supervisory/administrative capacity, particularly in the domestic and/or sexual violence field, experience in building diverse teams and effective communication skills.  Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s Degree, LICSW or other licensed mental health provider is preferred.

Business Advisor

The Central MA regional office of the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center (MSBDC) located at Clark University seeks a talented business advisor with a strong financial background to work with and support approximately 175 small business clients and entrepreneurial ventures each year.  The Senior Business Advisor will provide one on one advisory services throughout Central Massachusetts. The advisor must be able to offer in-depth financial advising and assist clients with business planning, marketing strategy and tactical marketing plans and other aspects of running a small business. SBDC business advisors provide free, comprehensive and confidential services. An important component of the job, although secondary to advisory services is outreach and collaboration with MSBDC’s Resource Partners. The Advisor will also create and coordinate the delivery of training seminars.

Requirements include: MBA or equivalent degree; 10 to 15 years of management and practical business experience. Minimum of 5 years of direct experience managing, advising or working with a small business. Raising of capital through loans and/or equity is a major plus.

This is expected to be a full time, administrative position with a starting salary of approximately high $50’s to $60K pending grant funding.   This is a full-time position with outstanding benefits including 4 weeks’ vacation and a generous retirement plan.
